I guess you are all wondering what to do or where to go this fall/winter for and incredible action filled holiday. My recommendation is New Hampshire! New Hampshire has everything you could ever imagine including theme parks, many state parks, downhill or cross country skiing, waterfalls. You can visit The Museum of New Hampshire History as well as many other museums and incredible historic sites. And don’t forget the great outdoors! New Hampshire's cultural and historical institution such as its festivals, sidewalk art galleries and other displays give you the opportunity to see the state from the vantage point of the artist, the historian or through the eyes of a historical figure. New Hampshire has hundreds of attractions and activities that appeal to children and adults of all ages. Whether you are taking your kids to the children's museum or to New England's largest skateboard park, enjoying an amusement park, taking in a sporting event, taking a cruise or a tour. New Hampshire has 18 miles of coastline and 1,300 lakes and ponds that provide recreation around the state and throughout the seasons. You can set sail on inland waterways, jump the wake of a powerboat on skis or cruise the ocean on a whale watch. You can also test your limits at sport fishing or soak in the sun on a sandy beach. In winter, bobhouses dot the frozen lakes, while dogsledders fly across the thick ice. In spring, test your kayaking or rafting mettle against surging whitewater, if you dare!

In the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains, you will find the historic Eastern Slope Inn, a four-season family resort. The inn has small, quaint rooms, a comfortable lobby, and a central location. On site, discover the glass-enclosed swimming pool and Jacuzzi, clay tennis courts, and games room. Hike or ski nature trails, fish in a stocked pond, or enjoy a Broadway musical during the summer in the Playhouse. Summer activities in the Mount Washington Valley include hiking, canoeing, golfing, and tax-free outlet shopping. In the winter, you can enjoy a host of outdoor activities in the snow.

Why New Hampshire?

For those of you on your honeymoon or just recommitting your love for each other you might enjoy visiting any of more than 50 covered bridges, making it the epicenter of New England covered bridges. Sometimes known as “kissing bridges,” they are picture-perfect for waiting out a summer rain, watching a snowfall, or for admiring the reflection of fall foliage in the clear water. These mostly wooden structures are a reminder of New Hampshire's history, and are a lasting testament to good old Yankee ingenuity.

For you swingers, New Hampshire has more than 90 golf courses around the state, from semi-private and public courses to the courses that are the centerpieces of some of the state's finest resorts. Golfers can choose from seaside or lakeside courses, historic courses edged by mountains, or newer courses that follow the rugged natural contours of the land.

Speaking of the land, this state loaded with scenic beauty and memorable vistas. New Hampshire has a wide variety of scenic drives and routes everywhere. With scenic drives from the Seacoast to the Great North Woods, there are two National Scenic Byways, the White Mountain trail and the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. And if that is not enough, just driving in and around New Hampshire is full of picturesque villages, small towns and natural vistas to keep your eyes glued the entire trip! Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Winter, a season made for outdoor recreation, is an exhilarating time to be in New Hampshire making it the perfect home base for all types of winter sports. From the pulse-pumping action of big mountain downhill skiing, to the quiet solitude of a backcountry trail or the magic of a ski tour under a full moon, skiing, the states official sport, offers one of the best way to enjoy winter.

And let’s not forget the spa experience! Indulging in a blissful, rejuvenating, relaxing, invigorating time at a spa will add a whole new dimension to your vacation experience.  At day spas, you can indulge in treatments that can take an hour or an afternoon; some of New Hampshire's finest are at local salons, while others are onsite at inns or hotels.  Resort-based stay spas have been getting rave reviews for their unique combination of recreational facilities, fine dining, comfortable accommodations and inventive mix of therapies.

I am sure that if you choose to visit this beautiful place you will come home with many fond memories and the knowledge that you have had the time of your life!

And please, send us photos! We might even put them on our site! Have a beautiful and blessed day!
